Meet Lynae

Mental Health Therapist
I grew up in central Minnesota and then moved to Fargo for college and never left. I obtained both my masters and doctoral degrees in counseling from North Dakota State University. Since graduating I have worked in a variety of roles in the mental health field and have also been involved in teaching and researching about mental health.
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in North Dakota. I focus primarily on work with adults and I am an ally for LGBTQIA and advocate for social justice and equality. My approach to therapy has been influenced by the work of Dr. Brené Brown and am I trained in her clinical approach, The Daring Way™ as a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator (CDWF). I enjoy helping others identify and work on shame, shame resiliency, and self-compassion. My approach and interventions focus on the whole person and meeting each person’s needs as an individual. Therapy is not one size fits all!
I incorporate a variety of creative, integrative practices into my session. I consider myself a lifelong learner and am always learning new approaches and embracing new ideas.
